Here we are in the final week of June and with my Dairy Month recipe roundups. I use a lot of dairy products in my cooking, because we love the taste of dairy and also love the ways the dairy products enhance our food. For this week I am going to feature ice cream recipes. One is my homemade ice cream recipe while the others feature ice cream in the recipe.
Ice cream not only tastes delicious, but it is also beneficial to your body! This cold dairy treat is a source of vitamins and provided nutritional value to your diet through these vitamins. Additionally, ice cream is a source of energy through the carbohydrates, fats and proteins. Minerals like calcium are also found in ice cream as well as phosphorus. Calcium is essential for maintaining strong bones. Lastly, ice cream can stimulate the brain through thrombotonin which is a hormone of happiness!
For this week’s Dairy Recipe roundup, I am featuring four of my favorite ice cream recipes. I am also sharing four of my friends recipes too! I hope you have enjoyed my play off of my past 30 Days of Dairy with these dairy delicious roundups! July is ice cream month so this preps you for the month to come!
