I love anything with caramel and chocolate combined. Last year after Christmas I had some Caramel Bits left over and decided to try adding them to my chocolate chip cookies. The Caramel Bits, if you don’t know what I am talking about, are the the little round caramel pieces that you can buy in the baking aisle, last year I could only find these and not the caramel squares, if you can only find square just cut them up into small pieces. It took awhile to find the combination I was looking for with these cookies but I found it with this recipe! Top the cookies with sea salt and you have the perfect Salted Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookies.
