Total time:
Serves: 6-8

Ingredients
  • 1½ pound ground beef
  • Your favorite sloppy joe recipe - mine is included below or a can of Manwich
  • 2 packages crescent dough or crescent rolls
  • 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a skillet, brown ground beef and drain off excess grease. Once cooked add sloppy joe recipe or can of Manwich and let it cook until it simmers. I let mine cook for 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. Spray a 9x13-inch pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  4. Open the first package of crescent dough or rolls. Unroll it and place it in the bottom of your sprayed pan, if using rolls, close up the seams best you can. Spread the dough out with your hands until it covers the whole bottom of the pan.
  5. Bake the bottom crust for 4 minutes. This step is not necessary but I find it makes the bottom dough less soggy.
  6. Take half the cheese (2 cups) and sprinkle it on the dough evenly.
  7. Carefully pour the sloppy joe mixture over top of the cheese. Spread it out evenly. Top with remaining cheese.
  8. Open the second package of crescent dough or rolls and place on top of the cheese. If using the crescent rolls, you may want to lay it on parchment paper and push together to seal the seams. Your top does not need to fit perfectly, you just want to cover as much as you can.
  9. Place in the oven and cook for 10 to 12 minutes, or until crescents are golden brown.
