If you have read my About Me section or know me you may know that I grew on a dairy farm and have a large extended family. Today those are the people I am going to say thank you to!
Living 4 1/2 hours from my family it is trying some days and today was one of those days. I am not feeling well, we had our photographer friend come to take pictures for this blog, and I have a cranky one-year-old. So today I was feeling down and just needed to see a friendly smile from one of my family members. But a simple phone call with my Mom and nephew will have to do for now. These are the days that make you appreciate growing up with a strong, close-knit family and I can only hope that Nora experiences that as well.
Thank you to my wonderful parents who have shaped me into the individual I am and if I can say so are pretty awesome parents. Thank you to my grandparents (who are all deceased) for providing us with the farming background and for pushing education as an important backing for each of us. Thank you to my siblings and sibling-in-laws for their love, support and for their BOYS! And thank you to all of my aunts, uncles and cousins for being my wonderful, crazy and blessed family! I am so thankful and blessed for the family I have. It is through each of them that I have developed my passion for agriculture, my cooking abilities and my sense of pride for my family.
The photo above is of myself on the far left, my two siblings, two Norman cousins and a neighbor. So today, I am THANKING MY FAMILY! Each and everyone of them. All 100+ of them.
During the month of November I will be blogging with a new thanks each day! Follow along by seeing all the posts under the menu option “Farm Love” and then “30 Days of Thanks.”
