As today is Veterans Day, I am thankful for all of the brave men and women who have served our country and continue to serve. Not just today, but everyday, we should honor these servicemen and women both in service within the United States and those deployed overseas for their dedication to our country.
Within our families, Clayton and I have countless uncles and cousins who each served in the service and currently have two cousins who are in active service, David, pictured above, and my cousin, Gregory. We want to take some time today to honor them, along with each and every servicemen and women throughout our nation.
I feel I can’t let today go by without saying that I grew up in a community where many of the families had several generations who served together in the Pennsylvania National Guards. One of these families who were neighbors, fellow farmers and distant relatives faced the most devastating loss of losing a son, grandson, nephew and cousin in service. Army Staff Sargent Ryan S. Ostrom served the ultimate sacrifice and for that we are forever thankful. I thank his family for their service and honor our fallen hero, Ryan. God bless!
So today, and everyday, take the time to reflect on those serving for our country and those that we have lost. And please thank a veteran!
Thank you Veterans for being our American heros!
